King Richard's Faire
Step back into the Renaissance for fun, excitement, and entertainment!
King Richard’s Faire, located in Carver, Massachusetts, is an annual Renaissance celebration complete with the recreation of a 16th century marketplace. The festival runs for eight consecutive weekends between September 3rd and October 23rd from 10:30am to 6pm. Visitors can enjoy hand-made crafts, foods, musicians, singers, dancers, minstrels, mimes, jugglers, magicians, comedians, puppeteers, gymnasts, exotic animals, acrobats, mud beggars, stilt walkers, knights jousting on horseback, a royal court and many other things. This celebration, which is the largest and longest-running Renaissance fair in New England, operates on 80 acres of land with 10 stages for demonstrations and performances. The buildings in which a majority of the entertainment and activities are held are permanent year-round structures. If you have never attended King Richard’s Faire, this is the year to do it! This year is the 30th anniversary of this event which has continued to grow each year in popularity. Don’t miss out on this fun, exciting and incredibly entertaining experience!
