Wachusett Mountain Resort
Wachusett Mountain has a long history of tourism on the mountain.
Wachusett Mountain Resort, located in Princeton, Massachusetts, is the highest mountain in Massachusetts east of the Connecticut river. During the winter months, the mountain boasts some of the best skiing and snowboarding around. While it's a popular destination during the colder months, the mountain has just as much fun and excitement going on during the rest of the year as well. In the summer, the Mountain hosts music events, festivals, races and other family-friendly activities. During the beginning of September, the resort begins its run of fall festivals such as the Brewer's Festival, Musicfest, and one of the most popular, Applefest. Not only are there great events going on daily, guests can take in the beautiful scenery as well. The Resort is home to the only known Old Growth Forest east of the Connecticut River. Some of the trees are more than 350 years old! Enjoy a panoramic 360-degree view from the summit, including a spectacular view of the Boston skyline to the east. No matter what time of the year you visit Wachusett Mountain, there's always something fun and exciting going on for everyone!
